Horween has been making some of the world's finest leather just a few miles south of our Chicago workshop for well over a century. This vegetable-tanned leather is designed to develop a rich patina over decades of use, carrying that same unmistakable Horween character: rich color, beautiful grain, and the kind of depth that only gets better with time.

One of our favorite things about this leather is how alive it feels. Depending on the light, the exterior catches subtle flashes of aqua beneath its rich cobalt finish. Open the bag and you're greeted by a soft, suede-like interior in a brighter, more vibrant blue. It's the best of both worlds.

Every scratch, every crease, every commute, and every trip simply become part of the story. It doesn't wear out. It wears in.

The Recon Mini has quietly become one of our favorite everyday carry bags. Compact enough to stay out of your way, yet surprisingly capable once you start loading it up. It'll happily carry an iPad, your daily essentials, and just enough extra room to make you wonder why you ever carried anything bigger.

One of our favorite details is one you'll probably never notice. We reinforce critical stress points because we'd rather overbuild something once than apologize for it later. It's the sort of thing that takes more time, costs more money, and makes absolutely no difference until ten years from now.

We've never had much of an advertising budget. We'd rather spend that money where it matters: Horween leather, industrial sewing machines, ridiculously strong thread, premium hardware, and the decades of experience behind every sewing machine in our Chicago workshop.

Every Recon Mini is hand-cut, hand-skived, and sewn by our small team using methods that have become increasingly rare. We still build from the same hand-drawn paper patterns Mr. Lee has trusted for decades. We still hand-skive leather with knives we sharpen ourselves because we believe the hidden details deserve just as much attention as the ones everyone sees.

Truth be told, this isn't the fastest way to build bags. It's just the way we believe they should be built.
