Now, for the first time ever, the interior features 5 oz water-resistant TexWax™ Buffalo Plaid Wax Canvas. Durable. Timeless. Looks damn good. Inside each hand-cut and sewn Horween Leather carry handle, we insert 1/4" thick industrial tubing. Why? Because handles should feel substantial, last forever, and stand the test of time. About the leather: The Horween leather is tanned with vegetable tannins—derived from tree leaves, bark, and other plant material—to allow it to patina well and to be easily shaped. It is full grain, which means it has not been sanded, buffed, or corrected in any way to remove or cover up imperfections. The leather is hand-rubbed with several coats of aniline dye and hand-glazed to give it its burnished appearance. The naturally occurring hides come from animals that were used for meat. Each bag is measured and cut by hand and stitched with industrial-strength, extra thick thread at each joint point for added strength by our Chicago team.
