This material captures the aesthetic and soul of classic military olive drab tent fabric, that lived-in, battle-ready vibe, but it's brand new, built tougher and ready for decades of service. We scoured the earth to find a waxed canvas that most closely resembles the vintage military duffles and tents we have always admired, yet meets today’s modern standards for strength, water resistance, and clean performance. Paired with Coyote XPAC, it is a fusion of heritage and modern performance that defines DEFY, rugged as hell, yet refined enough to walk into any room with quiet authority.

The Epic was born in our Chicago showroom after a customer picked it up, turned it over, and said, “This bag is seriously epic.” The name stuck. We spent months studying vintage military designs and reworking them with input from the DEFY community: deeper carry space, smarter organization, and a trolley strap that keeps everything locked in when you are running through the airport.

Hand crafted by our small Chicago team with decades of luxury sewing experience, each bag is built to handle real miles. Oversized YKK AquaGuard® zippers, dual front dump pockets, and Horween leather trim give it the over engineered character that has become DEFY’s signature. One of the most badass things about this and every other bag we build is what you don't see: we stitch and glue XPAC material between the exterior and interior layers at all crucial stress points for unmatched durability and longevity.
