In a world obsessed with faster and cheaper, we went in the exact opposite direction. Horween's Black Austin Calf Leather wraps the entire exterior, smooth, deep, and sophisticated. Each Defender consumes nearly an entire side of leather because making something this absurdly overbuilt has never been the efficient choice.

But some of the best parts of this bag are the ones you'll never see. Hidden beneath the leather are strategic layers of X-Pac reinforcement at stress points, quietly adding strength, structure, and years to its life. Because at DEFY, we believe the things nobody notices are often the things that matter most. So go ahead and carry on, my wayward son. There'll be peace when you are done.

Then you open it. And that's when the dark side shows itself.

Inside lives our Redrum X-Pac™ interior—a violent flash of red against a sea of black. Waterproof, ripstop reinforced, and dramatic enough that you half expect a horror movie soundtrack to start playing when the zipper opens. Your laptop rests behind thick closed-cell foam protection, while $60 AustriAlpin™ COBRA® buckles trusted by military professionals secure the front. The rear YKK zippered compartment quietly stores passports, documents, or whatever else you'd rather keep out of sight.

And for those who believe "overbuilt" is merely the starting point, this Defender can now be upgraded with a matching Horween Austin Calf Ultimate Strap, complete with our newly included 2" swivel clips. Because apparently we weren't done making this thing ridiculous.
