There was a time when we made just about everything at DEFY black on black on black. No flashy interiors. No bright colors screaming for attention. Enter the Slim Blackout Edition.

We've taken our smallest, arguably smartest briefcase and given it the full covert-ops treatment. Rugged 14 oz. Black TexWax™ waxed canvas on the outside, 1,000 Denier Black CORDURA® on the inside, with rich Horween Austin Calf Leather accents and black MIL-SPEC hardware throughout. Nothing flashy. Nothing shouting for attention. Just layer upon layer of beautiful, purposeful darkness. The kind of bag that looks like it should come with a security clearance.

Now, normally, an all-black interior might make finding your gear a little more challenging. But here's where the Slim earns its name. Its oversized dual YKK AquaGuard® zippers open the bag wide in a clamshell design, putting everything right in front of you. Laptop. Phone. Wallet. Keys. That pocket knife you probably don't need but absolutely refuse to leave home without. No digging. No disappearing gear. No need for a neon yellow interior to find your damn sunglasses. Everything has its place, and everything is easy to see and grab.

At just 15" x 11" x 2", the Slim is unapologetically minimal. There's a fully padded compartment for your 13" MacBook, smart interior organization, a matte black military rifle clip for your keys and a rear trolley strap for slipping over your luggage handle. We finished it with ridiculously tough 4,000 lb. MIL-SPEC webbing, military-grade metal hardware and hand-cut, riveted Horween leather zipper pulls. Because even when we're trying to keep things simple, apparently we can't help ourselves.

Every Slim Blackout Edition is hand-cut and sewn right here in Chicago by our small crew. No unnecessary bulk. No wasted space. No compromises hiding behind the black.
