The DEFY Sternum Strap 2.0 fixes that. MIL-SPEC 1" webbing, handmade in Chicago, anchored by an imported AustriAlpin™ COBRA® Quick Release buckle — the same buckle used by military and rescue professionals worldwide. It costs $30 by itself and holds 1,000 lbs. Your backpack does not weigh 1,000 lbs. But it's good to know where you stand.
A matte black steel triglide keeps the length adjustable and the excess webbing from flapping around like it has somewhere to be. Fits all DEFY backpack straps. Adjusts 3" to 18" across the chest. Attaches in seconds. Releases the same way.
It's a sternum strap. We still put a $30 buckle on it. That's just how we are.
